On the morning of April 3, the Tra Vinh Department of Labor, War Invalids, and Social Affairs, in collaboration with the Department of Education and Training, the Provincial Bank for Social Policies Branch, BiW Group (Germany), and SHB Investment and Development Joint Stock Company held a signing ceremony for a cooperation agreement. The agreement aims to implement a program that allows Tra Vinh students to study at vocational colleges and work in the construction industry in Germany.

The scene of the ceremony

The ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Ut, Director of the provincial Department of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bach Van, Director of the Department of Education and Training, Mr. Duong Huy Phong, Director of the Provincial Bank for Social Policies, and representatives from BiW Group, SHB Investment, and Development Joint Stock Company.

The program is in accordance with Resolution No. 11/2014/NQ-HDND dated July 18, 2014, approving the project to support workers to work abroad under contracts for the period 2014 - 2020, and Resolution No. 18/2016/NQ-HDND dated December 8, 2016, which amends and supplements Resolution No. 11/2014/NQ-HDND on support for sending workers to work abroad for a definite term under contracts in the province. This project has been supported by the Party committees and authorities who have led, directed, deployed, implemented, and achieved certain results. From 2012 to 2022, the entire province has sent 3,460 workers to work abroad, including 1,388 female workers and 578 ethnic workers. They have worked in various countries, including Japan (2,288 employees), Korea (121 employees), Taiwan (345 employees), Malaysia (190 employees), Laos (14 employees), and other countries (71 employees). The program to support workers to borrow capital to work abroad under contracts has disbursed 763 documents with a total amount of more than 59 billion VND.

Workers working abroad have higher average salary, hence better living quality. Sending workers to work abroad for a definite term under contracts has created jobs, reduced poverty sustainably, improved the quality of human resources, stabilized social security in the province, and attracted many businesses to invest in Tra Vinh. Workers who work abroad have higher average salaries and an improved standard of living. Currently, 96 students have been recruited for the German market, and it is expected that by the end of this year, they will be eligible to study and work in Germany.

In November 2022, the leaders of the Tra Vinh Provincial People's Committee and relevant departments and branches visited Tra Vinh students and students studying in Germany and worked directly with vocational training units in Germany. The parties discussed and exchanged orientations to promote long-term cooperation relationships, support, develop, improve learning quality, and ensure full benefits for students participating in learning and working in Germany.

Units signing cooperation

To promote counseling and career guidance for students and employees of Tra Vinh, the Department of Labor - Invalids and Provincial Social Affairs, Department of Education and Training, Branch of Provincial Bank for Social Policies, BiW Group (Germany), and SHB Company signed a cooperation agreement to continue to closely coordinate and improve the responsibility of stakeholders, creating the most favorable conditions for students when studying and working in Germany in the coming time. This program will contribute to training high-quality human resources and making practical contributions to the sustainable socio-economic development of the province.
