Prime Minister's Meeting with Foreign Investment Enterprises
On September 17, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a conference with foreign investment enterprises with the theme "Overcoming challenges, seizing opportunities, cooperating for development."

Attending the conference at the Hanoi bridge were Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh; leaders of ministries and central branches; business associations and enterprises, and foreign investors. The conference is connected online to 63 provinces and cities, and 80 bridge points with domestic and foreign enterprises.

The attendants at the bridge broadcasting point of Tra Vinh province were the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Le Van Han, and relevant provincial departments and agencies and foreign investment enterprises.

According to Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyen Chi Dung, the foreign-invested economic sector has been considered an essential component of the Vietnamese economy in recent years, which has been facilitated for long-term development, cooperation, and fair competition with other economic sectors. Although there are difficulties and challenges, it has opened up new opportunities and motive in development cooperation. Many international corporations and businesses have been looking for investment locations to diversify their supply chains. Vietnam is evaluated by international organizations as an attractive and safe investment destination, with advantages such as a stable socio-political economy, sizeable open economy, abundant human resources, young and competitive cost labor structure. Also, many measures, laws and institutions have been constantly improved to be in line with international standards and commitments in new-generation of free trade agreements that Vietnam participates in.

At the conference, the representatives of businesses and foreign investors contributed ideas to assess the business investment environment in Vietnam to show challenges and opportunities for investment and investment expansion in some areas in Vietnam. In addition, localities also discussed the implementation of policies and prepared conditions to welcome foreign investment inflows into Vietnam.

To conclude, at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh acknowledged, praised, and thanked the cooperation, companionship, contribution, sharing and efforts of foreign enterprises and investors in the prevention and control work, fight against the epidemic, maintain and promote production, business, and export, contributing to the Government's stabilization of the macro-economy, controlling inflation, promoting growth, and ensuring major balances of the economy. The Prime Minister affirmed that Vietnam has created, is creating, and will create all conditions to create a favorable, safe and transparent environment for foreign investors to feel secure to make long-term investments in Vietnam "with the spirit of equality, mutual development, mutual benefit, mutual responsibility to society, employees, environmental protection; "will not say no or that it is too difficult, will not say yes but then won’t do; benefits are to be equalized, risks are to be shared."

The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches, and localities to focus on creating a favorable, healthy, and fair business and investment environment, with the motto "Putting people and businesses as the center, as the subject, and as the goal and motivation." Furthermore, he also requested a comprehensive review of difficulties and obstacles of foreign-invested enterprises; have a timely and effective plan; completely solve the limitations and inadequacies in building, perfecting, and organizing the implementation of institutions and policies on foreign investment cooperation. All of that are to further promote procedural reform administrative procedures, creating favorable conditions for investment attraction and production and business.
